You might be expecting too much from Obama.
Check out his response to the 3 am ad , its the standard John Kerry Line " politics of fear " which is just pure garbage to me.
If this election is fought on National Security between John Mccain and Obama , democrats would be in trouble.
I felt the part where he tried to bring it back to the Iraq war and argue that he has the "judgment" to answer the 3am call was much more effective. However, while the Kerry-like stuff may get us nowhere in a GE, I guess it has some value in a Democratic primary where you can find enough people to say yeah, I agree national security should be off the table.
Frankly, I think it's humorous that anyone could describe an ad as innocuous as the 3am ad as "fearmongering." But hey, this is my party, you gotta love 'em.
